Questions About Your Water, Answered

Straight answers from Blake, the owner who actually installs your system.

No call centers, no sales scripts. These are the questions East Valley homeowners ask most before getting a softener, filtration system, or reverse osmosis unit installed. If yours isn't here, just call or text and I'll answer it myself.

Water Quality & Hardness

Most of the East Valley sits between 11 and 25+ grains per gallon of hardness, depending on your city. Gilbert, Mesa, Chandler, Queen Creek, San Tan Valley, Apache Junction, and Florence all pull from sources that carry a heavy mineral load, mainly calcium and magnesium. That's what leaves the white scale on your faucets, the film on your shower glass, and the extra strain on your water heater. You can check your specific city's numbers on our water quality lookup.
The signs show up around the house before they show up on a test strip. Look for chalky white buildup around faucets and showerheads, soap that won't work up a lather, skin and hair that feel dry after a shower, spots on glassware straight out of the dishwasher, and a water heater that seems to run harder than it used to. If you're seeing two or three of these, you almost certainly have hard water. We'll test yours for free and show you the actual number.
Municipal water in the Phoenix area meets federal safety standards, so it's technically safe. That said, safe and great tasting aren't the same thing, and a few East Valley cities, including Gilbert, Apache Junction, San Tan Valley, and Florence, have disclosed or are actively monitoring PFAS (forever chemicals) in their supply. Standard carbon filters don't remove PFAS. A reverse osmosis system does, along with arsenic, lead, and most other dissolved contaminants standard filtration misses.

Water Softeners

Sizing comes down to two things: how many people live in your home and how hard your water actually is. A larger household on harder water needs more grain capacity so the system isn't regenerating every other day. Rather than guess, we test your water and ask about your household before recommending equipment, so you're not paying for more system than you need or stuck with one that's undersized.
Our softeners start at $1,750, fully installed. That price already includes labor, no separate install fee tacked on afterward. Final pricing depends on household size and which equipment tier fits your water. Full details are on our pricing page.
A salt-based softener removes hardness minerals from your water through ion exchange, using salt to regenerate the resin. A salt-free conditioner doesn't remove those minerals, it alters their structure so they stop building scale, without using any salt at all. Conditioners tend to appeal to homeowners on a sodium-restricted diet or without a good spot to drain a softener's discharge line. We can walk through which one actually fits your home. Conditioners start at $2,750, fully installed.
Not much. You'll want to keep the brine tank stocked with salt (or let our EZSalt sensor handle that automatically), and we recommend a checkup once a year to confirm the resin bed and valve are working the way they should. Outside of that, a good softener runs quietly in the background for years.

Reverse Osmosis

RO forces water through a membrane fine enough to catch what standard filters let through, including PFAS, arsenic, lead, and most other dissolved solids. What comes out the other side is noticeably cleaner and better tasting water, right at your kitchen tap.
Our under-sink reverse osmosis systems start at $775, fully installed. See the full breakdown on our pricing page.
We recommend an annual filter change to keep the membrane and system performing the way it should. Skip it too long and the filters lose their effectiveness before you'd notice any difference in taste. We offer a scheduled annual RO filter change so you never have to think about it.

Installation & Pricing

Yes. Every price on our pricing page is fully installed, with zero hidden fees. Softeners start at $1,750, whole home combo systems start at $2,550, salt-free conditioners start at $2,750, and reverse osmosis starts at $775. What you see is what you pay.
Yes, through Wisetack. Terms run from 3 to 60 months, with 0% APR available for qualified buyers. Prequalifying takes about a minute and doesn't affect your credit. You can check your options on our financing page.
Most installs are completed in a single visit, and we're often able to get on the schedule and installed within days of your quote, not weeks. Exact timing depends on the system and your home's setup, but we'll give you a real timeline before you commit to anything.

Service, Warranty & Salt Delivery

Every system we install is backed by the manufacturer's parts warranty plus our own labor warranty, so you're covered if something needs attention after the install. We'll walk you through the specific coverage for your equipment before you buy, no fine print surprises.
We do. If your softener or filtration system was installed by someone else and it's acting up, give us a call and we'll come take a look and give you an honest assessment, whether that means a simple fix or a conversation about replacement.
Yes. Our EZSalt smart sensor monitors your softener's salt level and lets us know when it's running low, so we can refill, load, and test your water automatically. Plans start around $29 a month across the East Valley. Details are on our salt delivery page.
It depends on the system, but most plumbed-in softeners and filtration systems are best left in place for the next owner, and a well-maintained system can actually help your home's resale value. If you're planning a move and want to talk through your options, give us a call and we'll figure out what makes sense for your situation.

Getting Started

It helps. Walking through your home lets us see your plumbing setup, water heater, and where equipment would go, so the recommendation actually fits your house instead of a generic guess. We'll schedule a time that works for you.
